Congratulations! You are engaged and you are now planning your wedding! This is a very exciting time! As your big day approaches, you have your colour scheme, style or themed picked out, you have your dress and your bridesmaids dresses, you have picked a venue and decided on a guest list. Now it’s time to pick out your flowers, so you head to the internet and start your search.
You probably have an idea of what your budget will be for your flowers- but being realistic with the cost of flowers is sometimes surprising. What we would recommend is checking to see which florists offer a free consultation. Be honest with your florist about your budget. At our shop we would never want to over-spend someone’s budget, so knowing that you can or can’t afford is a big help. We have tons of ideas about how to achieve a look but if we don’t know where to start, the whole process can be disappointing and overwhelming. Sometimes all it takes is looking outside the box and any good florist should be able to help you come up with a beautiful option.
If you are looking to be budget savvy, the easiest way for your florist to help is see the style you want and help you pick flowers that will give you the look without the price tag. Let us show you what we can do to with that style in mind, at the best price!
Bridesmaids can significantly drive up the cost of your flowers really quickly. Often we see brides with 4-8 bridesmaids and who don’t realize that the bouquets for all those girls are going to be a huge chunk of a floral budget. If you are wanting to get them all flowers there are lots of options to chose from but our favourite is a one sided bouquet. You still get to use all the beautiful flowers but don’t do them all around. Party in the front, business in the back! This will give them the look of a full bouquet but in a more reasonable price.
Remember, in the end it is your day! The flowers need to be what you want and what will make you happy. Be sure to trust your florist to get your vision and have fun with it!
